ANIMAL ART

Visualized love for animals

Alongside other motifs, portrayals of animals are a focus of my work. I grew up with animals and have always found contact with them to be grounding and enriching. They are friendly, kind and loving, they provide comfort, cheer people up and make them laugh - they are true heartwarmers.

They represent such an important and large part of life on earth and, as sentient creatures, deserve not only our protection but also our attention for their essence and their uniqueness. They show us life in harmony with nature and can thus remind us of the core of our existence on this wonderful planet.

I want to capture and express all of this and more with my animal art. I would like to invite you to let my imagery captivate you and let the magic of animals and nature draw you in.

My offer to you: a customized commissioned artwork of an animal, designed entirely according to your wishes.

Horse

Man's Best Friend

Pets are extremely popular as our loyal companions and are part of the family for many people.

Personally, I find it very exciting and fascinating to observe animals and their behavior and to interact with them. When you get to know them, you realize that every animal is an individual with its own personality - a completely unique creature.

This is reflected in my pieces. I think that my high sensitivity, with everything that comes with it, helps me to perceive the character of the animal clearly and to capture it in a painting.

You will not only receive an aesthetically pleasing artwork of your pet that will decorate your space, but also a soulful treasure that will bring you warmth.

Your spirit animal as a strengthening symbol

But animals can also be valuable companions on other levels, without having to live in your own home. Of course, my offer also applies to people without pets:

The artistic representation of favorite animals or spirit animals is not only an eye-catcher, but also becomes a symbol of values and characteristics that one carries within oneself or would like to strengthen - and thus a work of profound meaning.

Images and symbols have always been an integral and extremely important part of people's lives. What is your favourite animal and what characteristics do you associate with it? Do you see yourself in it?

I would be happy to create an expressive piece of art for you that will inspire and motivate you every day or that simply embodies a piece of pure beauty.

You choose a photo of your pet as a reference (if you're undecided, I'm happy to help) and answer a few questions about your wishes - I'll do the rest!

I'll let you know how long it will take for me to complete your pet portrait before you make your final decision. This includes not only my next available time slot, but also the drying time for the paint and varnish before the painting is ready for shipping. If you need your painting completed by a specific date, I'd be happy to advise you on this without obligation—just contact me!

If you decide to commission the work, the next step is to pay a deposit of 50% of the final price to secure your spot on my waiting list. This deposit is non-refundable unless the work cannot be completed for unexpected reasons on my part. The remaining amount is due after the work is completed and before shipping. In addition to the fixed price, there are costs for insured shipping of the work.

Since this is a personalized commission, it is non-returnable and non-exchangeable. You have the opportunity to request adjustments during the completion process.

The ideal reference photo

Make sure that the animal is photographed at eye level if possible, unless you want a different effect. The photo can not be blurry. The subject should also be well and evenly exposed so that I can see the details - both in the very bright and in the very dark areas. This usually works particularly well when the photos are taken outside, this is not a necessity though. If these conditions are met, the quality of photos made by smartphones is sufficient in most cases these days. The background of the photo is not necessarily important. You can choose whether the background should be taken from the photo, embellished or completely replaced, for example with your favorite color(s).

I will be happy to advise you on your photo selection!

Personalized necklace pendants

In addition to classic canvas paintings, I also offer the unique option of painting your pet or favorite animal on a handmade necklace pendant. This way, you can always carry your animal companion with you as a lucky charm.

Miniature works of art become jewelry and, on top of that, an expression of your love for animals – compliments guaranteed! Not only can you treat yourself with such a pendant, they also make wonderful gifts.

The pendants are made of air-drying modeling clay, have a circumference of approximately 4 cm, and are painted and sealed with acrylic paint. I will need a reference photo of the animal and your desired background color.

Each pendant is €65.00, including materials. Shipping costs within Germany are also included; for international orders, shipping costs will be added to the price.

Feel free to drop me a message on WhatsApp today for a quick response and implementation!

My Inspiration

My paintings are usually a combination of abstraction and figuration. As a reference for the figurative part, I use photos of animals that particularly appeal to me, be it on an aesthetic level - light, color, composition - or on an emotional level because the animal's expression captivates me. Whenever possible, I use photos that I have taken myself, because photography is another of my interests. Interacting with animals in front of the camera, or better: through the camera lens, has already given me magical moments: For example, when I spent hours photographing my neighbor's free-range chickens in his huge, almost enchanted garden for an animal photography project during my studies. The initially shy rooster eventually came curiously towards me of his own accord, while I was crouching in the grass, and then posed proudly and gracefully in front of my camera.

I believe that there is beauty hidden in every living creature. It is important to me to highlight this and make it visible in art - both the more obvious, purely external forms of beauty and the perhaps less obvious ones. If you look at my portfolio, you will see that I like giving vultures a stage just as much as fluffy cats. I believe that, thanks to my capability of observation and my strong empathy, I am able to capture the essence and character of the animal and express it in my pieces. I am often told that the personality and soul of the animal are clearly visible in my work and that they are touching. During my painting process, I delve deep into my imagery; I empathize with the motif and let it come to life with every brushstroke. In my opinion, that is part of the magic of art: in the process, there is a dynamic, mutual exchange between the motif and the artist and the work of art, which basically makes the work an externalized part of the artist after they have internally absorbed and processed it. And this in turn is noticeable to the viewer if they open up to it. In the reception, through which art lives, the viewer also becomes part of it in a certain way. That is why I consider artworks of animals to be something very significant and incomparable for people who love them.
